Challenge
During the summer of 2023, I was hired on to be a QA intern at Incredible Technologies. Having never worked on a live service game, I knew very little about the whole process. I had to learn QA structure for live service, gain knowledge on test plans, learn how to use company software, and understand how designers wanted the game to feel/look.
Solution
Throughout my time at IT I learned so much about QA for a live service game. By the time I left I:
• Specialized in maintaining memory levels and finding memory leaks with company provided software.
• Aided in the redesign of several aspects of the game from menus to gameplay.
• Collaborated with the head programmer on a variety of linked list issues.
• Aided in the draft of numerous test plans

Overall, I learned a lot about how game companies handle testing and workflow. I think I have a great understanding of how I can apply my knowledge gained to design my own live service game!
